About The Illustrator


Judy Haas (December 18, 1953 – ) Judy Haas is a renowned artist born and raised in Aspen, Colorado. Her work has appeared in galleries and art events around the world and she has been recognized in the art community for her contributions since 1980.  Her images of trout are well known in the fly fishing world and her botanical and fractal images are well sought after (http://www.troutart.com). Judy creates her images to celebrate and preserve the environment. She is now living in Telluride, Colorado. Inspired by a class for digital imaging with Maggie Taylor at the Anderson Ranch Art Center in Aspen, Colorado, she created the images for Being A Mother over a period of 10 years. With permission from museums in different countries, the illustrations embellish the works of the classical masters and accompany the words of the author, Raimunda Ferreira da Costa.
